Distance Learning

The university is expanding distance learning options to boost tuition revenues and to give additional students the opportunity to attend UF.  This expansion consists of additional online course offerings, as well as UF satellite programs at Florida state colleges, including Santa Fe College and Miami-Dade College.  As of summer 2012, the university offers a distance-learning option for nine bachelor’s degree programs, 68 master’s degree programs, nine doctoral-degree programs, six undergraduate certificate and 41 graduate certificate programs.  Student enrollment in distance-learning increased 20% from spring 2009 to Spring 2012, with total enrollment now at 6,707 – and total revenue topping $66 million.
