University Wide Commencement Speaker Nomination

We invite members of the UF community to nominate potential speakers for the Spring University-Wide Commencement Ceremony.

Nominees should:

  • Have a strong connection to the University of Florida
  • Have had notable accomplishments and influence on society
  • Have demonstrated a capacity to communicate a positive message with a broad and diverse audience

All suggestions will be given serious consideration. However, the final decision will be made by the university president and is subject to availability of the individual under consideration.

Please note while we will accept suggestions year-round, due to scheduling needs, the decision to invite a given spring speaker may be made as much as a year in advance.
